Solsgen (“we”, “our”, or “us”) built Prayer Countdown as a free app.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data on Solsgen servers.

Prayer Countdown does not require account creation and does not collect personal identifiers such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Contacts
• Photos/files

3. Information Processed on Your Device

To provide app features, Prayer Countdown processes and stores some data locally on your device:

• Location (for prayer times and Qibla direction)
• City/Country (if entered manually)
• Prayer settings (school of thought, notification preference)
• Cached prayer timings and widget state

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to Solsgen servers.

4. Permissions Used

Prayer Countdown may request the following Android permissions:

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
  Used to detect location for prayer timings and Qibla direction.

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS
  Used to notify when a prayer time starts.

• INTERNET
  Used to fetch prayer/Qibla data from external APIs.

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
  Used to restore scheduled widget updates after device restart.

5. Third-Party Services

Prayer Countdown uses third-party APIs for functionality:

• AlAdhan API: https://api.aladhan.com

When requests are made to third-party APIs, they may receive technical request data (for example, IP address and location query values such as latitude/longitude or city/country) needed to return results.

Solsgen does not control third-party data handling policies. Please review third-party policies directly.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

Solsgen does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
Solsgen does not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Since app data is stored locally on your device:

• You can clear app data anytime from Android Settings.
• Uninstalling the app removes app-stored local data from your device.

8. Children’s Privacy

Prayer Countdown is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Security

We apply reasonable measures to reduce data exposure. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be reflected by changing the Effective Date above.
